Even today I miss the cat
The cat named Ty Ty
She is an aristocrat
I am sad she had to die
A woman named Nora had a kitten
It needed a home in which to live
I took the baby cat in
I wanted her to survive
My sister who lived far away
Came to visit, saw Ty and decided to take her
I think it could have been the month of May
Ty went away with a purr
The sister returned her one day
Saying Ty was a troublemaker
Poor cat turned away
Kathryn the mother decided to take her
Ty lived with Kathryn
This cat might replace
A link with this daughter her kin
lack of the presence the cat might erase
The cat was back
So Smart, able to twist knob to open a door
but alas, female organs no longer intact
Even so this cat was never a bore
When Kathryn the mother went away
I too, a daughter moved, to another place
Ty came with me to stay
Then death did this cat erase
Ty the cat did leave!
If animals spirits live beyond
And this I do believe
Someday to my caress Ty will respond
